Plexivo for developers

The fastest path from a repository to a live app with a database, then the CLI, client libraries and local development.

Plexivo gets out of your way. Push code, get an HTTPS address, add a database, and work on it from your laptop as if it were local.

Ship your first app#

  1. Sign up and start with the 14-day free trial. No card needed. See Create your account.
  2. Deploy from GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket or a container image. See Deploy your first app.
  3. Add a database and connect it. See Create your first database.

Prefer to describe it? Ask Plexivo AI: “Deploy my Node.js API with PostgreSQL and a cache.” It plans, prices and waits for your approval.

Add a backend without writing one#

One Plexivo Postgres database can be your app’s whole backend: sign-in for your users, a Data API, realtime updates and functions, called from JavaScript, TypeScript, Flutter or Dart. See Build a backend in minutes and Client libraries.

Develop locally against the real thing#

The Plexivo CLI opens an encrypted tunnel from your laptop to any database or cache, even a private one:

bash
plexivo auth login
plexivo db connect orders-db # then psql, TablePlus or your app on localhost:5432, or the port it prints

Run your app locally with its connection string pointed at the local port, and keep your database private to its project. See Plexivo CLI reference.

Automate#

On the Developer plan#

The Developer plan is made for building and testing, at the lowest price. Apps sleep after 15 minutes without requests and wake on the next one (billed the same whether asleep or awake), and availability is best effort. When your users depend on it, move to Startup for apps that stay on and a 99.9% availability commitment for eligible customer resources.

For developers Watch your app’s output on its Logs tab while you deploy, and add an alert channel before you share the URL.
